Our brand. A family matter.

And when a family lives in symbiosis with the mountains, it’s only natural that they develop technical clothing, footwear and accessories that are the result of passion, experience and constant research into technical solutions. Any discussion of the founding of ANDE has to include friendship and love. The company arose from the connection and the surnames of Aldo Anghileri and Fabrizio Dell’Oro, and their unbounded passion for the mountains. And it was these two ingredients – friendship and love – which pushed them to create ANDE.

The company mission was clear from the outset: to make quality products that are affordable by all. Following Fabrizio’s early death in 1987, Aldo took on all his shares, taking the business to its high point in the 2000s. Over time, relations with China intensified, and in 2008 Aldo sold part of the company to a Chinese entrepreneur. A year later, the Anghileri family decided to sell all its shares for internal reasons, bidding farewell not only to a brand, a company, a job and a philosophy for life, but also to the affection and relationships that had been created. Four years later, ANDE closed definitively.

In the meantime, Aldo and his family stayed in the field of mountain equipment and sports clothing. However, it’s true that some loves go round in a big circle and then come back… and this is what happened with the original brand. And, since it’s also true that a leopard can’t change its spots, Aldo gradually began to like the idea of buying the brand back: an idea that crept in, became a plan and then was implemented.

At work you should never fall in love with anything. But ANDE has left its mark on the Anghileri family; a tradition dictated by our love of the mountains. In the 90s and 2000s, it was sons Giorgio and Marco, along with Giulia, who assisted Aldo in the running of Ande; today the family presence continues with Luca and Sara.
